If your answer is a big YES, then apply for this position to become a part of Infineon's Green Industrial Power team in Hungary and to make your contribution to decarbonization and digitalization!On the role of Staff Engineer Quality & Reliability, your daily work will include reliability investigations for newly developed products and materials, risk assessment (FMEA) and risk management, problem solving and failure analysis in a highly equipped laboratory (although this last is part of the job, your tasks will be mainly performed on the office).In your new role you will:
  • Support the product development process starting with the product idea until successful product release for volume production
  • Manage quality and reliabiltiy-related topics with internal partners, e.g. the R&D department, production, process development etc.
  • Define specific qualification plans for the qualification of innovative product generations as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Plan, execute and assess reliability tests
  • Ensure the reliability of our products by defining qualification methods for future power semiconductor technologies and products
  • Investigate and develop new qualification concepts and test methods
  • Actively cooperate with corresponding QM departments from other Infineon locations
  • Be a part of risk assessments and problem-solving activities as expert and/or moderator
  • Proactively drive strategic risk management in the organization.
As an Engineer Quality & Reliability you set high quality standards for yourself and others. You take responsibility by leading the way and driving forward the solution of problems together with the project team as well as the internal specialist departments. In doing so, you put yourself in the customer's position, represent their point of view internally and always look for the best strategic solution, without making hasty compromises and losing sight of the business interests. In complex situations, you always maintain an overview and focus on the solution. We value lean and creative approach with the full focus on the customer.You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A university degree (ideally PhD) in the field of electrical engineering, physics, industrial engineering or a related technical field
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience, aligned with basic knowledge of semiconductors or electrical engineering/chemistry/physics
  • Knowledge and use of statistical methods/programs
  • Knowledge on reliability concepts and methods (e.g. power module)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Solid knowledge of QM tools is a plus
  • Fluency in English required, Hungarian and/or German is a plus
  • Readiness for business trips (Germany).
