- Procurement of products, parts, raw materials, required for the product manufactured by the company on the most favorable terms.
- Playing an important role in supply chain, cost reduction, quality assurance and innovation.
- Contribute to the sustainable buildup of the material field purchasing in the area steering columns.
- Secure the competitiveness for our products as well as the financial success of our business unit.
- Continuous analyze the market and build up a solid and efficient supplier base. Responsible in creating and defining a purchasing strategy for the material fields, e.g., fasteners,mechatronics,machining parts, cable and wirehardness
- Responsible for the supplier base including evaluating of suppliers, clarification of commercial, technical as well as supply chain problems.
- Make decision to choose the right supplier, coordinate the RFQs, lead the Price and contractual negotiations. Participate the decision making of the nominations and continuously take care of the supplier during serial delivery.
- Work in a small and highly motivated team with regular overseas contacts as well as interaction with Top management due to flat hierarchies to get fast decisions. Have a close collaboration between development as well as our production sites in USA, France, and Hungary.
- Lead cost optimizations and focus teams across borders as well as different regions.
- IT qualifications: excellent skills in using SAP as well as MS office.
- Language: English - proficiency
- Business degree with technical background knowledge or a technical degree with commercial background knowledge.
- Experience: 5+ years purchasing experience in the automotive industry. Experience in realizing global benchmarking as well as cost down projects, solving complex situations.
