Site Director Gödöllő, HungaryJob purpose:Managing the industrial operations activities of the Gödöllő, Hungary site in order to deliver a supply of high-quality products meeting customer expectations in compliance with all internal and external regulatory, health/safety and environmental requirementsThe site:GSK has a significant presence in Gödöllő, Hungary, where they operate a vaccine manufacturing site with 340 employees. The site is involved in the production of critical components for vaccines against Diphtheria, Tetanus, and pneumococcal disease. The Vaccines Drug Substance produced in Gödöllő are distributed to GSK sites worldwide, contributing to the manufacture of approximately 100 million vaccine dosesHere you will find more information about the site:Key responsibilities:Strategy and Direction
  • Develop and deliver the Site strategy aligned to GSK Network to maximize value creation for GSK
  • Accountable for delivering against operational performance targets of safety, quality, service, and cost in line with GSK ambition
  • Ensure the manufacture and supply of products in line with short and long-term plans.
  • Direct and co-ordinate production and functional activities toward achievement of site objectives
  • Management of Site P&L in line with 1–3 year plan
  • Plan, organize, integrate, and review staff and financial resources needs to successfully maximize the facility's capabilities to meet future requirements
  • Ensure compliance with GSK Vaccines standards, policies, and international regulations
  • Ensure appropriate representative of the Company in local and international communities. The incumbent excercise the Managing director rights
  • Drive continuous improvement to deliver world class performance against internal and external benchmarks
People Management
  • Encourage and obtain consistently high standards of performance and achievement by providing effective leadership in the recruitment, development, integration, and training for the site organization
  • Build and maintain a culture of accountability, patient and ambition and doing the right thing in line with GSK expectations
  • Implement effective succession and development plans with a goal of replacing international assignees with experienced, highly competent local staff
  • Manage site operations staff through effective performance management and labour relations
  • The incumbent exercises the Employer rights and effective collaboration with the Trade Union
Change and Process Management
  • Provide leadership for local implementation of Safety + Quality Culture and Operational Excellence programs
  • Manage and deliver change initiatives involving processes, technologies and people which contribute to the overall effective improvement in the Site and Vaccines Supply Chain
  • Customer Satisfaction/Supply Chain Management/Quality Compliance
  • Ensure continuous supply of products to agreed customer requirements, quality standards and financial targets
  • Ensure site compliance of all operations to Quality and Regulatory requirements
Health/Safety/Environment
  • Ensure the site complies with all GSK and local, health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to ensure safer working practices and facilities, improved workforce Health, and reduced impacts of operations on environment
Communications
  • Represent GSK to external bodies, customers, and local community within country
  • Ensure alignment of the site with GSK Vaccines Supply Chain activities and Global Functions through timely and interactive communication
Basic Qualifications:
  • University degree in a related field such as Science, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology etc.
  • 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry including manufacturing and site experience
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural environments
  • Executive and leadership capability to manage people
Preferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to actively listen and promote empowered decision-making processes
  • A self-starter and decision maker, results oriented
  • Energetic and enthusiastic; able to cope effectively with sustained pressure while responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs
  • Mature personality with excellent negotiation skills who can convince and impact internally and externally
  • Ability to express complex issues in concise and clear language, very good English (written and spoken) and Hungarian (nice to have, but not mandatory)
  • Proven demonstration of GSK Values (Patient focus, Respect for people, Transparency, Integrity)
  • Proven experience at driving a Continuous Improvement culture with year on year performance improvement
