- Taking part in development and maintenance of Wizz Air's Safety Management System and Compliance monitoring functions;
- Monitoring industry legislation changes, safety and compliance trends relating to ground operations and initiating risk mitigation actions as required;
- Performing mandatory reporting to Competent Authority and safety investigations if required;
- Processing safety reports related to ground operations, creating and distributing actions;
- Representing ground operations safety on SAG and SRB meetings;
- Analysing trends and issuing safety recommendations related to ground operations;
- Managing safety projects and risk mitigation of safety issues (hazards) assigned;
- Contributing to safety bulletins, weekly ground operations safety reports and other safety communications;
- Close cooperation with Ground Operations department, including regular meetings and tracking of Safety Performance Indicators;
- Actively participates on Ground Operations Safety Action Group meetings;
- Performing risk assessments and managing the hazard log for Ground Operations;
- Contributing to safety bulletins and other safety communications;
- Communication with Competent Authority on issues relevant to Ground Operations if delegated;
- Participating in internal and external safety and compliance related projects;
- Performing safety and compliance trainings for operations personnel;
- Designs and monitors the execution of the audit and inspection plans for Ground Operations, Perform ground operations and Org audits/inspections, make audit reporting and follow-up findings;
- Administration of the completion of the Ground Operations compliance monitoring plan;
- Ensuring the systematic review and data validation relevant to finding management in particular CA/PA and implementation evidence management
- Coordinating, oversight audits by external / contracted auditors (including IFQP, DAQCP and WLD);
- Act as a focal point in Dangerous goods transport as determined in operations specifications;
- Coordinating and oversighting IOSA related audit activities in the field of ground operations.
- Knowledge of safety management principles (EASA, ICAO, IOSA);
- Experience in air carrier operations
- Experience in management of complex projects;
- PC user skills at advanced level (MS Office);
- Experience with SMS software and tools;
- Good presentation skills;
- Data analysis skills and good knowledge of statistics;
- Ability to work autonomously;
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in Safety Management Systems and risk management
- Previous work experience in ground operation and/or safety, compliance or quality control
- Preferably experience in IFQP, DAQCP, IOSA Ground operations auditing and Dangerous goods
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Fluent English (Written and spoken)
