Senior Digital Project Manager (maternity cover)
- Budapest
- Állandó
- Teljes munkaidő
- Managing and supporting the daily work of designers and full-stack developers.
- Managing challenging mid- and long-term digital projects - and by “challenging” we mean that you do not only have to forward emails. You need to carefully balance our team's best interests, our client's satisfaction, and our business objectives. The challenge is to keep everyone happy.
- Working on exciting design and development projects in a fast-paced work environment with this team. No, that does not mean chaos (we can hear your sigh of relief), but we have many projects with life cycles ranging from 3 weeks to 3 months.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with initial estimates - while actively monitoring team velocity and adjusting plans as needed.
- Owning the full lifecycle of the project or product – from early ideation and strategic planning through design, development and launch, all the way to post-release support and iteration.
- Running (and sometimes running to) status meetings to ensure a smooth delivery, providing updates on status and impediments.
- Validating and passing on clear messages from the client side to designers and developers (as well as any other divisions) and vice versa, therefore, you must be a firm, good communicator. Clients may be billion-dollar brands or a Mito department next door.
- Keeping Jira and Confluence fresh and tidy - as it is quite difficult to manage a project without proper scheduling, specifications, and documentation.
- To excel independently. We rely on your knowledge and ability to set priorities and solve upcoming challenges right before they turn into issues, and then problems.
- You have managed multiple complex design and/or web projects that you delivered for external clients in the last few years, from specifications to release and support. On the technical side, you are familiar with different design processes, backend and frontend technologies and content management systems.
- Stakeholder management is second nature to you: you can build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, developers, designers, and business owners.
- You are comfortable being the owner of your projects - proactively making decisions, taking full end-to-end responsibility, and driving delivery with confidence.
- You’re not a developer, but you’re not afraid of code either. You can tweak styles in the browser, read error logs and follow along in technical conversations.
- You have excellent communication skills in Hungarian and English, as you will have to use both in your day-to-day and moment-to-moment tasks.
- You can read between the lines (absolutely no pun intended), especially when it comes to translating client dreams and wishes into tangible technical requirements.
- You have heard about CI/CD, and you are not afraid of using or learning it
- You understand business jargon and that of developers too; moreover, what you say gets accepted.
- You use ticketing (we use Jira) and you know that a bug report is not just saying “there is something wrong with the API, check it pls”.
- You are not a one-man army; you can think in teams. So just be a team player.
- Availability for a fixed-term/maternity cover position for the next 2 years.
- have any experience with GitLab as our code is living there,
- are acquainted with both Agile and Waterfall,
- dabbled in business analysis or held other auxiliary functions to PM,
- worked with a nice, diverse portfolio of clients on your professional journey. We promise that exciting prospects are on the horizon!
