- Define, implement and maintain the target IT architecture to accelerate the implementation of Allianz's future strategy and to seize opportunities
- Operationalize the IT architecture
- Establish and introduce IT standards based on the global IT strategy
- Actively participate in the migration of the ABS mainframe environment to a Linux-based system with Microfocus
- Develop new solution designs and support finding solutions
- Quality assure processes and delivered project artifacts
- Degree in computer science or comparable education and proven work experience combined with a continuing interest in challenging technical issues and further developments
- Several years of professional experience in building and operating business-critical applications, ideally in the financial services sector and experience in migrating mainframe applications to Linux-based systems
- Proven experience or certifications in the field of architecture process models
- Proven experience in client/server and host architectures and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and its virtualization (XEN/Docker)
- Several years of professional experience in PL1 software development and knowledge of DB2 and MQ
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty and weekend assignments
- Entrepreneurial thinking and analytical skills, as well as a goal- and performance-oriented working method with a high level of quality awareness and customer orientation, coupled with good communication skills, especially in complex situations
- Ability to work in teams, flexibility, high resilience and social competence, as well as distinct ability to deal with conflicts together with a convincing appearance, assertiveness and willingness to make decisions
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and good knowledge of English
- Autonomous and independent working method as well as high problem-solving competence including multiple sources of information
- Profound communication skills and the ability to negotiate with heterogeneous target groups, e g. at senior management level
