Job Description Summary Become part of a winning team and help to deliver the Green Energy transition in GE Vernova Hydro Power.Based in our office in Budapest - Hungary, Supplier Quality Inspector – Electromechanical - Europe will drive the Quality with assigned EU suppliers. The role will entail close alignment with Sourcing, Engineering and Quality functions, as well as with other key stakeholders, and will be focusing on electrical materials.You'll manage dynamic priorities, necessitating minimal guidance, and emphasize effective communication with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and suppliers.What we offer: A key role in a dynamic, international working environment with a large degree of flexibility of work agreements, competitive benefits, and great development opportunities.Job DescriptionRole & Responsibilities:OverallManage supplier activities to ensure the quality of assigned Commodity components.Be the technical focal point to coordinate Sourcing, Engineering, Quality functions while interfacing with suppliers.Drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements.From Order to Delivery oriented fully accountable of quality & technical topicsManage panel of supplier up to 30 suppliers (could be more for regional commodity)Supplier Approval – Supplier SelectionRequest Eligibility doc from to supplier in line with compliance rulesManage supplier qualifications as required assuring that assigned suppliers have capability and processes to deliver high quality productSupport Compliance/Maturity audits (EHS, Manufacturing process, Inspection process) to assure that Suppliers have effective process control, rigorous product acceptance standards, and robust quality systemsSupplier Qualification – Product QualificationReview MPP/ Control plan provided by supplier for each specific projectPerform Risk Analysis (Supplier/Product) & propose mitigation plan (expediting, inspection, supervisor ….)Provide technical guidance to suppliers to assure product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.Follow Manufacturing according to MPP (Q record on time; Quality data book follow up; complete Manufacturing process control report)Review preliminary documents and built the product quality data book. Prepare product quality documents focus on customer requirementSupplier Continuous ImprovementDrive continuous improvement of supplier's quality, cycle, and delivery performanceManage supplier non-conformance and Deviation activities; identify and drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementationConduct process capability analysis for Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics. Work with suppliers to improve process capabilitySupport Sourcing Quality and cost out initiativesLead cross functional initiatives to improve part qualityManage Low Performer (on regular basis) link to NCR, Audit results, Planning, Manufacturing issues.Be involved into claim management process (ensure that all data needed for claim are available and relevant to launch recovery program)Required Qualifications:Education: Engineering Degree in Electrical or Mechanical fields (or equivalent experience/knowledge with technical diploma).Experience: Demonstrated experience in quality or manufacturing activities of electrical and/or mechanical commodities.Knowledge of international standards (such as ASME/ISO/DIN e.g).Language: Fluency in English language.Traveling: Ability and willingness to travel within Europe as required (min 30%).Demonstrated technical aptitude and a passion for quality.Ability to work in cross-functional and global team environmentsPersonality: Highly self-motivatedDesired Qualifications:Audit certificationNDT certifications (PT, MT, VT)Six sigma or equivalent quality certification.Extensive experience in Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing or EngineeringStrong background in interpretation of Engineering drawings/specifications, metrology, and manufacturing process planning/evaluationBehavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies:Ethics and valuesCustomer focusAbility to Work in teamCommunication and negotiation skillsDemonstrated proactive approach and issue ownership with process orientationBenefits Available to You:GE Vernova employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works.
