As a Senior Customs Specialist at BMW Group Plant Debrecen you're a crucial part of our vision to revolutionize the way we think about cars.What awaits you?

Setting up processes and partnering with local authorities, as well as internal stakeholders to harmonize our customs management with the Hungarian legal requirements, supporting the roll-out and testing of our newly developed integrated customs software.
Maintaining proper import and export conditions to ensure the Plant- and Customer supply, ensuring the legally compliant and timely submission of customs (and some other tax relevant) declarations, goods-related foreign trade statistics (Intrastat), CBAM reports, export control related reports.
Supporting the AEO certification process and various (simplified) customs license applications including economical customs regimes.
Contributing to the Customs Team in the daily customs operation and clearances, prepare the periodical supplementary declarations and financial statements under the customs law, including the payment requests. Operational management of external service providers and assurance of proper quality of customs processes.
Advising internal and external process partners and stakeholders, cooperating with other departments in all customs-related questions. Providing information to all levels of the hierarchy for supporting decision-making processes.

What should you bring along?

5-10 years of experience working in the Customs field - working in the private sector (e.g. in multinational environment or at a customs brokerage company) is an advantage.
Professional Customs Expert Qualification recognized by the Hungarian or other EU Member States' customs authorities ('Vámügyi Szakértői Hatósági Képzés') is needed; University degree in Economics, Trade or similar qualification is considered as a plus.
Profound knowledge of the European Union Customs Code and Customs Procedures.
Knowledge in Intrastat-, Environmental Protection Product Fee-, Extended Producer Responsibility-, CBAM reporting is an advantage.
Experience in executing customs clearances in a standard Hungarian Customs Software (e.g. Regens, KompaktZoll, Mindsoft); SAP GTS knowledge would be an advantage.
Language skills: business fluent English and Hungarian; German proficiency is an advantage.
