We seek people who think in code and are motivated by being around like-minded people.The Role: WorldQuant is seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join our Portfolio and Treasury Services team. We are responsible for portfolio analytics involving calculation of various portfolio performance measures such as P&L, Asset Valuations and Risk. We directly interact with Portfolio managers & Senior Management helping them to manage the firm's trading book balances & optimize the cost of trading. Successful candidates will participate in all facets of a project's life cycle from design, implementation, testing, documentation and deployment.
  • Design, code, and debug operations, reporting, pre & post trade analysis applications on Linux platforms.
  • Interface with users to gather, analyze and spec out requirements, develop/test code, and manage product deliverables to targeted release dates.
  • Work closely with operations support team for deployment and training as well as provide support for new and legacy applications.

  • Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline
  • Strong understanding and hardcore user of Python or other high level language like C# or Java
  • Experience building Web UI application with React and TypeScript
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Ability to understand complex systems; be in command of the details to provide solutions
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational, columnar and alternative data stores
  • Experience building and optimizing 'big data' pipelines, architectures and data sets
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop scalable software
  • Self-motivated and take initiative with minimal direction
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Kafka and Airflow a plus
