The purpose of this position is to assist in the development and deployment of the category strategy for the assigned region to drive optimal cost and conditions (commercial, quality, delivery), as well as supporting the Global Category Manager through purchasing actitivies including sourcing, negotiating and providing data analysis for the category spend. Ensuring suppliers meet regulatory and legal sustainability requirements. Driving Global Sourcing solutions for category strategy. Working closely with Procurement organizations in the assigned region. Providing expert knowledge and leadership guidance to the whole organization for assigned category. Creating Profit Planning for assigned category. Ensuring that key metrics for the procurement function are achieved. Managing the SPIR process and communication/alignment with the business(es) impacted. Supporting negotiations with strategic supplier contracts and relationships. Taking lead in GPS maintenance and project accuracy. Taking an active role in development, data mining, and analysis required in support of the category strategy. Engaging with businesses on sales loss and working with the other S&P team members and affected businesses to drive supplier performance/pursuit of alternative options. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management; managing commodities Previous specific Commodity Management/Strategic Sourcing Experience. Experience within a multi-Location manufacturing/assembly plant environment. Strong data management, time management, and strategic/critical thinking abilities required. Strong Analytical skills Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task Proficient in MS office Excellent communication skills (English - written and verbal) Strong negotiation experience/skills
