Direct Procurement Specialist

• Execute critical sourcing to mitigate market shortages. Process management of related activities from RFQ to PO execution including monitoring and control records
• Creation and maintenance of Procurement SAP master data (Vendor master, Purchasing Info Records, etc.) assuring data consistency for efficient P2P operation
• Interaction with global suppliers for critical sourcing
• Act as cross-functional liaison through the entire Procurement process
• Issue resolution and ensure compliance related to order management with Material Planning, including part shortage situations
• Identify opportunities for implementation of best practices, process improvements & standardization across all divisions within Harman

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Related experience (3+ years) in supporting procurement activities including component sourcing
• Fluent English
• Good understanding of SAP as related to direct procurement and material management
• Good understanding of the P2P (Purchase-to-Pay) processes
• Semiconductors and electrical sourcing experience desired
• Strong analytical skills and ability to pay attention to details
