- Work on building SaaS based energy and sustainability solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EU, USA, India) to design and develop software solutions that address sustainability challenges, automation, DevOps, and Platform Challenges
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Analyze, create, and optimize application container definitions to comply with industry best practices
- Maintain and grow a production grade Kubernetes
- Understand, implement, and enforce Kubernetes best practices across multiple clusters
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads and propose solutions to issues.
- Implement and maintain Kubernetes resources via Helm, Kustomize, or similar
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and services on Kubernetes and Azure
- Write scripts and automation tools using Python or other scripting languages to manage and maintain Azure and Kubernetes resources
- Implement automation for routine tasks, scaling, and monitoring
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Collect and analyze logs and metrics to ensure the performance and availability of Kubernetes and Azure resources
- Optimize Azure resource utilization to control costs while maintaining performance and scalability
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards in Kubernetes and Azure solutions
- Monitor and manage resource consumption and billing, for e.g. cost optimization
- Keep yourself up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to sustainability
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Mid-level expertise with ~3-4 years of relevant experience
- Relevant certifications, such as Kubernetes Certified Application Developer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator Associate are a plus
- Proficiency with Kubernetes (e.g., cluster security, application development, scaling)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services, Azure DevOps, and related tools
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
- Strong experience with Kubernetes native technologies (e.g., Kustomize, Helm, Flux, Grafana)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) and related tools (e.g., ARM (Azure Resource Manager) templates, Terraform)
- Familiarity with networking principles such as TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, encryption, etc.
- Understanding of network and security principles in Azure
- Strong problem-solving, communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
