Jabil seeks a dedicated legal professional to provide leadership in trade compliance risk management, regulatory interpretation, and audit response. The successful candidate will advise on regional trade, customs, and compliance matters, lead engagement with government authorities, and enhance local implementation of Jabil’s global trade policies.This role:

Serves as the primary legal advisor and trade compliance manager for trade-related matters across Jabil’s operations in Europe, the Middle East, and India.
Provides day-to-day legal oversight, support and guidance on export licensing, customs valuation, origin determinations, tariff classifications, FTA usage, FTZ or other special custom regime management, recordkeeping, and other matters pertaining to EU Dual-Use Regulation (EU 2021/821), UK export control regimes, and Israel’s Ministry of Economy export control requirements and India’s SCOMET.
Oversees local implementation of restricted party screening, classification and licensing standards developed by the trade compliance team.
Supports internal investigations, audit responses, and corrective action planning in connection with government audits.
Coordinates directly with regional business leaders, site operations, and logistics teams to mitigate legal and reputational risk.
Leads the identification, escalation, and remediation of potential trade compliance risks associated with export licensing, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics third-party relationships.
Advises and oversees government interaction protocols regarding trade compliance matters, and supports due diligence and compliance assessments of third parties operating in high-risk trade functions.
Contributes to internal trade compliance governance structures, including policy implementation, training, and compliance monitoring for Jabil’s EMEAI operations.
Monitors and reports on regional legislative and regulatory developments in trade, customs, and sanctions compliance that may affect Jabil’s operations and trade compliance program.
Acts as a critical liaison between the global trade compliance organization and local business leaders to ensure aligned, risk-based, and lawful operational execution.

Additional Requirements

Fluent in English; proficiency in one or more European (e.g., German, French, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian, or Italian), Hindi, or Hebrew languages is preferred.
Licensed attorney in good standing within the EU, UK, Israel, or India, with strong cross-border advisory experience.
In-depth knowledge of EU and UK dual-use and sanctions laws, Israel’s Defense Export Control Law and India’s SCOMET.
Experience managing compliance in high-risk jurisdictions or complex geopolitical environments.
Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with operational stakeholders and legal counterparts across cultures and functions.
Strong ethical judgment and proven record of handling sensitive matters discreetly and effectively.

Educational & Professional Requirements

Law degree from an accredited institution in the EU
7–12 years of legal experience in international trade compliance, regulatory risk, or customs and sanctions advisory, preferably a mix of private practice and in-house roles.
Prior experience working with technology, defense, aerospace, or high-reliability manufacturing is a strong plus.
