
Operational Excellence Manager

- Lead strategy deployment and ensure strategic alignment through cascading Key Performance Indicators top down and bottom up via an effective Tier Management System. Support site leadership team in creating strategic vision of improvement goals, site master plan (deployment roadmap and maturity expectations based on priorities). Support governance process across relevant BD Excellence components.
- Coordinate BD Excellence foundation deployment and achieve long term CI objectives through cross functional alignment of all resources toward shared goals.
- Lead establishment of site’s cost savings budget by partnering with plant leadership team and Business Unit Managers/Leader to co-develop and execute the BD Excellence and Cost to Win plan/budget. Deliver a multi-year Cost to Win (CTW) portfolio,
- Lead and facilitate breakthrough Kaizen events.
- Develop and grow root cause identification and problem-solving capability at all levels. Where applicable, utilize BD Ex problem solving tool and 3’G’ mindset. Drive collaboration with site leadership team to generate, sustain, and oversee governance processes and optimization of the site loss landscape.
- Coach the plant leadership team, with regards to BD Excellence, with focus on external and internal benchmarking. Develop and mentor a zero-loss mindset culture across critical areas to optimize quality, delivery and cost while improving safety.
- Participate in the digital transformation process.
- Immediate supervisor of BD Ex and Training Teams.
- University bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field is required, MBA or equivalent experience business exposure preferred.
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience / leadership experience in a plant
- Minimum 3 years experience operating a production system
- Certified or recognized as a Production System practitioner.
- Previous experience in implementing, and strong knowledge of, Lean and Six Sigma business systems required. Six sigma black belt certification preferred.
- Demonstrated passion for safety, customer centricity and operational excellence
- Excellent understanding of the interaction between operational excellence and customer service
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels
- Strong track record in project or program management
- Experience of working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment
- Discernment and ability to display the linkage between projects and desired business results
- Language: Fluent English and Hungarian mandatory
