Come, create an exceptional future.An exciting opportunity available to join the Propulsion Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) department that is growing the capability of delivering innovative class-leading products. As part of the growth, we are looking for new ways to manage our test data better and use data analytics methods to have further insights.WHAT TO EXPECT
  • As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing database solution based on the department's needs.
  • You will be able to implement your expertise on data structures, database creation and management.
  • You will mainly be interacting with NVH engineers to understand available data types/formats and convert already available data into robust database structure, which includes metadata creation, data cleaning/filtering and labelling.
  • Additionally, you will guide the department for future data management needs and solutions.
  • As part of your role, you will be responsible to implement data analytics methods for harnessing insights from available data (which can be physical test data, benchmark data from various external websites, eg. JD Power, or JLR internal quality database).
  • In addition to interaction with NVH engineers, you will interact with IT and Data Analytics teams for best practices. You will be responsible for keeping department's SharePoint up to date and keep the records in line with JLR policies.
WHAT YOU WILL NEEDEssential:
  • Education in engineering / STEM or computer science
  • Solid understanding of the data structures, data warehouse and experience in SQL
  • Previous Python experience in data engineering and automation
  • Able to deal with different data formats & experience in Tableau or Power BI
  • Solid statistics knowledge and experience in MiniTab or Matlab/Python libraries
  • Eagerness to learn new skills using self-learning resources and apply to new project
  • Experience in Microsoft SharePoint design and management
Desirable:
  • NVH Engineering knowledge and SimCenter LMS TestLab software experience
  • Familiarity with ASAM ODS data format standard or previous experience
  • Experience in AI/ML
  • Experience in DoE design and optimization in AVL Cameo, modeFRONTIER or Matlab
