Financial Controlling and Analysis (FC&A) Tower is part of Global Business Operations and provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The tower is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency.About the rolePerform month-end close activitiesProvide the Financial Control team with technical accounting guidance and act as the technical expert for of the Financial Controlling teamUnderstand, interpret, and implement Group Accounting and Reporting requirements; communicate requirements to the rest of the Financial Control team and to relevant teams in the marketSupport team members with technical and with soft-skill related questions and issues and will be responsible to delegate work within the team, also will coordinate or liaise with people in different functions such as tax, group accounting when it comes to financial controlling, technical accounting matters.Support the Financial Controller to understand business operations and issues, ensure the financial implications of these are captured accurately in the financial and statutory statementsEnsure the information in the legal entity financial & statutory statements accurately and completely reflects our business operationsProvide assistance in the internal and external auditsEnsure that financial & statutory processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with the internal (CARM) and external requirements.About youDegree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ business6-7 years’ experience in Accounting and/or Financial ControllingExperience in a global FMCG/ Shared services environment or similar dynamic operating environmentExperience of working in a role requiring strong communication skills (negotiation, influencing, managing expectations)Proven track record to connect with partners at varying levelsOutstanding Risk Management (Internal Controls, Managing Risk, Embedding Compliance & Ethics) knowledgeStrong Financial Controlling knowledge (Balance sheet, Group and Local Financial Reporting, Accounting principles)Ability to resolve complex problems independentlyProficient English knowledgeQualified accountantBenefits of working hereUnique Family Leave opportunityWe work without border - you will work with people from all over the worldYou will deal with world class brand portfolioWide variety of thematic events, afterwork activities organized by employee communitiesProduct Allowance to purchase company products from the staff shopWe won the Fittest Workplace Award, of course we have a GymUrban legend is true, we do have a Rooftop BarInclusion & DiversityCelebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to Diageo’s purpose of “celebrating life every day everywhere”.
