- Development of the core controls software for our gas engine products utilized for production of electricity and heat
- Specification, implementation, and testing of new software features, structured text and MatLab Simulink based code to be directly deployed onto the engine control unit
- Build SW specifications and requirement documents for the control system
- Designing our next generation controls system to meet future challenging requirements on enhanced engine efficiency and transient performance, reliable operation with alternative fuels like hydrogen, cope with advanced safety and cyber security standards, and more to come
- Creating innovative controls solutions for engine genset applications being integrated into complex electric network topologies like multi-engine power plants, microgrids or large modern datacenters providing decentralized / backup power
- Experience with automation software programming in either Structured text, Matlab Simulink, Phyton or similar
- Reporting directly to the functional Manager at the HQ in Jenbach/Austria, and dotted line to the local Team Leader in Budapest/Hungary
- Master or Bachelor degree in controls-, software-, mechatronics-, or electrical engineering
- Minimum 1 years of professional experience in industrial automation and control engineering
- Educational and/or professional background in controls theory, dynamic systems modelling, and model-based controls design
- Active use of English (both spoken and written) German language skill a plus
- Proven PLC programming skills in either one of the following programming languages: PLC Systems like B&R, SIEMENS, Bachmann, Beckoff, IEC structured text, Codesys, Matlab Simulink, Phyton, or C/C++
- Fundamental knowledge and interest on internal combustion engines
- Likes to work in a global multicultural environment with openness of occasional traveling within Europe
