- Act as Special Process Owner or delegated Special Process Owner (if current qualification does not meet necessary qualification defined by aeDMS 259.08 and local Quality procedures).
- Improve existing repair processes at Welding area along with its continuous monitoring:
- Rework, Process First Time Yield, Delivery and Cost metrics for exceptions and trends, define and implement corrective and improvement actions, use data for prioritization.
- Develop new technologies on Welding process to replace conventional means.
- Explore limits based on OEM ESM requirements and provide guidance to inspectors on the shop floor to reduce scrap and repair need.
- Provide formal and informal training about Welding process to inspectors, operators, and engineers.
- Exploring, defining, and taking their own LEAD on implementation of New Technologies supporting continues process improvement and current business needs.
- Provide process EXPERT support in New Product Implementation projects challenging on existing capabilities.
- Provide process EXPERT support to EHS department in respect to assessment of new chemical materials incorporation to repair process.
- Being part of a local manufacturing and a global engineering team, engaging relevant stakeholders, managing by exceptions, and escalating if necessary.
- Taking active part in production meetings and taking the LEAD on solving technical issues on their own initiative.
- Leading, developing, and implementing all the technical enablers/projects targeting changes/Improvements (EHS/Quality/effective repair process), including industrialization efforts of the new repair solution, for the assigned processes and product impacted by this process:
- Routings (task lists), Methods/Work Instruction, required Materials, Fixtures, Tools & Supplies, Environment, related Trainings, New Equipment, etc.
- Proactively apply LEAN principles and tools in everyday work.
- All other duties as assigned within the job scope.
- Engineering / technical degree (minimum BACHELOR’s level) at area of Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science,
- significant relevant experience in an engineering/technologist position,
- theoretical and practical knowledge of welding process,
- strong oral and written communication skills ENGLISH and HUNGARIAN,
- demonstrated ability to utilize Route Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) to identify and analyze problems,
- prior experience in area of R&D or New Product Introduction Initiatives,
- skilled knowledge of LEAN - 6Sigma principles and tools,
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills,
- strong ability to effectively influence others and lead teams and project groups,
- effective complex problem identification and solution implementation skills,
- ability to influence others and lead small teams,
- lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact,
- ability to coordinate and execute own and/or assigned group projects simultaneously,
- ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs,
- proven analytical and data visualization skills (scorecards, metrics development),
- proven organizational skills,
- experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC),
- advanced use of MS Office tools such as Excel and Word.
