- To act as an intermediary between internal organizations and suppliers, with the emphasis on maintaining and translating internal needs to the suppliers. Correctly processing EME data within SAP, APT and APEX in collaboration with Administrative Support
- Support purchasing budget definition and forecasting. Ensure regional and/or local compliance. Inform Category Manager (CM) about market trends and developments. Negotiate with regional suppliers in agreement with CM
- Manage RFQs, Bid Analysis and supplier recommendations in agreement with CM. Execute supplier visits / audits with Supplier Quality Engineers
- Conduct cost analysis activities with Cost Analysis Team; Support commodity reporting and performance measurement. Assist global tenders, regular audits and supplier evaluations; manage everyday communication with suppliers and internal organizations. Overall manage cost and optimize supplier base.
- Carry out contract management, incl. contract data maintenance. Support Engineering Change Process in production phase. Troubleshooting (support technical and time-critical ad-hoc requests / requirements)
- Educational & Professional Background: Experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Industry / Procurement.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English proficiency; knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP systems like SAP.
- Analytical & Operational Expertise: Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in cost analysis, supplier process evaluation, and contract negotiations.
- Risk & Cost Management: Ability to assess risks (e.g., currency, logistics, supplier dependency) and ensure Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across reliability, maintenance, energy, and transportation.
