- Work with global teams geographically and across all Harman businesses
- Perform daily tasks independently and provide oversight and guidance to direct reports
- Oversee and guide the monthly IC charge process.
- Oversee the monthly ICR process and report the IC month-end balances into BPC.
- Continuous contact with IC partners
- Keep the closing deadlines.
- Provide Intercompany KPIs and metrics regularly
- Ensure external and internal audit requests are responded to in a timely manner
- Oversee automated IC processes, follow up and resolve any ad hoc issues.
- Present new ideas/suggestions to improve processes and contribute to winning strategies that drive benefits.
- Monitor the performance of subordinate staff, set targets and provide feedback.
- Provide training and support to direct reports as applicable.
- Act as active lead participant in relevant projects and process developments
- Collaborate cross functionally with other departments (GL, AP, AR, Treasury, FA, T&E) with a deep knowledge of their processes.

- Directly lead Fixed Asset accounting activities for companies in scope in Harman's global organization
- Coordinate and lead closing activities.
- Adhere to the closing deadlines.
- Enforce compliance to Harman Policy regulations as well as internal and external audit standards.
- Ensure external and internal audit requests are responded to in a timely manner
- Answer all ad-hoc questions around Fixed Asset accounting activities.
- Collaborate in the formation of global standards for Fixed Assets activities and ensure task execution according to those standards.
- Oversee adherence to internal controls.
- Support new projects and process improvements as a lead participant and validate test results.
- Provide Fixed Assets KPIs and metrics regularly.
- Monitor the performance of subordinate staff, set targets and provide feedback.

- Identify process/system improvements and standardization opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within and outside GSSC.
- Collaborate with the line manager to provide professional guidance to team members.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line manager.
- Provide back-up for any team member(s) and the line manager
- 4+ years of accounting experience (in a hybrid of core accounting and shared services environment)
- Graduate in financial accounting/commerce/ Economics
- English language proficiency
- Strong accounting knowledge, good understanding on US GAAP and IFRS
- Strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders and other colleagues
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience in SAP journal entry.
- Experience in Intercompany accounting and policies
- Prior experience of working in shared services / BPO industry
- Expert in MS office suite skills (Excel, PPT, Word)
- Deep functional understanding of related functional areas (AP, AR, Disbursement, Bank Accounting, General Accounting, Financial Reporting)
