- Work closely with strategic buyers, the material planning & execution specialists, quality, and AP operations to ensure smooth running of day-to-day activities.
- Performs procurement tasks and responsibilities:
- resolve POR issues and place PO of repetitive material orders
- manage item activation process
- manage RFP & RFQ processes for new production items and services orders
- first piece qualification purchase order placement
- Maintains supplier master data as well as initiates and performs new supplier onboarding workflows
- Accounts Payable issue & invoice hold resolution
- Provide drawings on request to suppliers
- Maintain sourcing attributes in ERP system (quote, lead time, market share, etc.)
- Independently resolves issues within assigned responsibilities by applying given guidelines, policies, and regulatory framework
- Supports sourcing initiatives, including process improvements and data cleaning
- Contribute to project as a team member or lead small projects
- Support system testing related to functional responsibilities (ERP, PLM, etc.)
- Drive e-tool penetration with suppliers (ASN, Supply On, Basware).
- Maintains the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with internal customers and outside suppliers
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Supply chain or Engineering from an accredited university/college or a high school diploma and equivalent knowledge/experience
- Requires foundation knowledge of guidelines, practices, and procedures within sourcing function, work experience in Procurement of advantage
- Fluent communication in German and English language (C1 verbal and written), additional languages are a plus
- Working knowledge of ERP and data management & reporting tools (Oracle, SAP, Tableau, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, able to work with large data sets
- Demonstrated ability to organize, assess and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a cross-functional organization and be a results-oriented self-starter
